Clay and Friends offer a hard-hitting blend of soul, funk and hip-hop backed by prose in the image of what has come to be known as: La Musica Popular De Verdun.
Renowned for their supercharged live shows, Clay and Friends have thrilled over 1,850 Canadian and European crowds since 2014 under the #KeEpItMoViN' umbrella. The quintet has racked up over 60 million listens to its catalog since its debut on streaming platforms.
The band has no record label contract and has been running its independent structure since 2017.
Their song Going Up The Coast is certified Gold by Music Canada, commemorating the single's 40,000 digital sales. The hit single has over 20 million listens to date since its release in October 2018.
November 2023: Clay and Friends win the Félix at ADISQ in the category: Show of the Year: Multilingual and other languages.
The group was nominated for the prestigious Félix-Leclerc 2021 award, and its song Bouge ton thang was nominated for Song of the Year at the Gala de l'ADISQ 2022 and for the SOCAN Songwriting Prize the same year.
Their French-language album AGUÀ EXTEND'EAU is nominated in the Pop Album of the Year category at the Premier Gala de l'ADISQ 2023. In September 2023, the group wins a Prix Gémeaux: Best Musical Theme - All Categories, for its opening song on the Infoman 2022 TV show (New Year's Day edition).
